Beacy Fundraising

As part of the Youth Out Loud program grade 5/6 students are participating in, they are raising money to support a goal for a worthy cause. We would love all the school to contribute and help our wonderful students at Beacy.

All fundraising will be held this Friday the 18th of August.
• Preps – will be invited to watch a ‘Trash Puppet Show’ for a gold coin donation.
• Grade 1/2 – each grade will compete to make the longest coin line, with the winning grade receiving a prize so bring in all your spare coins.
• Grade 3/4 – can visit the bake sale with a range of slices and cakes ranging from 50 cents to $3.
• Grade 5/6 – will have a sausage sizzle at second lunch with sausages selling for $2.
• All grades – guess the lollies in the jar competition. 50 cents a guess or 3 guesses for $1.
• Staff – car wash for $5.

Remember to bring your money this Friday. Thank you.

We Need Your Vote!

Last term, grade 5/6 students entered a design competition for Latitude – Bounce, Climb, Fly – for their new bungee wall. We are proud to announce that Luke P’s design has been shortlisted and now needs your vote to win the competition. If Luke’s design wins, the whole school will get a free excursion to Latitude!

We ask that everyone in our school heads to:

https://latitudeair.com/thinkdesignwin-vote/

and selects Luke’s design (you will need to enter a valid email address for the vote to count).

Let’s all get behind Luke and Beacy’s chances of winning!

Scienceworks Excursion

Don’t forget that the Grade Ones have their Scienceworks excursion tomorrow and the Grade Twos are on Wednesday.

Students are to bring their snack, lunch and a drink bottle in a named plastic bag. Students must wear their school uniform together with comfortable walking shoes. Spending money is no required at this excursion.

Please remember that the bus will be leaving school at 9:00am on both days.

Regards,

The Grade 1/2 Team 🙂
